2022-2023 academic year Scientific Grant Competition is aimed a fully activating the scientific and research potential of the East European University to create new knowledge, to promote the integration of researchers into relevant international scientific projects and to encourage the attraction of young people in science.
2022-2023 academic year Scientific Grant Competition is aimed a fully activating the scientific and research potential of the East European University to create new knowledge, to promote the integration of researchers into relevant international scientific projects and to encourage the attraction of young people in science.
Grant project duration and budget:
- For the competition 40,000 GEL has been allocated from the scientific fund of the university.
- Applications for funding can only be submitted to the academic staff of the East European University (For information on eligible entities, see “2022-2023 Academic Year Scientific Grants Competition Conditions);
- Grant funding requested from the University’s Scientific Fund for a grant project should not exceed 10,000 GEL, including taxes stipulated by the legislation of Georgia.
- The duration of the project is 12 months;

Competition Administration schedule:
Grant project application with attached documents should be sent from October 28, 2022 to January 20, 2023 00:00 to the following e-mail address: sciencepapers@eeu.edu.ge
- Evaluation of the submitted projects in accordance with the terms of the competition by an independent expert/expert group(s);
- Compilation of project lists based on assessments received from independent experts and/or independent expert group(s) and identification of projects selected for financing – March 10, 2023;
- Approval of the final list of projects selected for financing by the rector of the East European University and publication of the competition results – March 15, 2023;
- Signing grant agreements – by April 10, 2023.

- ID card of the project manager;
- Documents confirming the academic quality of individuals involved in the project as key personnel (diploma of a doctoral/master’s student; in the case of a bachelor’s student, a Reference from East European university);
- Professional CVs of persons involved in the research project (supervisor, researchers).
Grant project evaluation criteria:
Projects submitted in accordance with the terms of the grant competition will be evaluated two stages Scientific value of the research project and implementation of the project.
