Dr. Paul Gibbs is the Director of the Center for Doctoral Education Development at the East European University. He has many years of professional and pedagogical experience. He is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Middlesex and the founder of the Centre for Education Research and Scholarship. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Sydney (UTS) and the University of Cambridge (UK), scientist, teacher and researcher at ATLAS R&B Research Institute (TEXAS, USA) and the Higher Education Policy Center of New College, Oxford. He is an educator and researcher having taught notions of transdisciplinarity alongside social realism and Heideggerian hermeneutics, and has over 30 successful transdisciplinary professional doctorate students.
Dr. Paul Gibbs has many years of scientific research experience, he is one of the world renowned scientists and specialists in the field of philosophy of education. He is the author of twenty books on a variety of topics, including marketing of higher education, and professional and higher education. At the same time, he is the author of more than 110 international scientific publications and the editor of the SpringerBriefs series of international scientific publications on key thinkers in education. He is also a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Collection of Scientific Papers” of the East European University. His particular approach to transdisciplinarity that informs his work is through the works of Heidegger, neo-Confucian thought and the insights of Basarab Nicolescu.
