The simulation laboratory is equipped with modern training models / mannequins of different types and functional loads, materials and medical tools necessary for patient examination and various clinical manipulations. The students of the Medical Doctor’s (MD) program start learning clinical skills in the simulation lab from the first semester of the programme.
Anatomy Room
The anatomy room is equipped with a high-quality, modern, high-tech “interactive anatomical table”, which allows to teach 11 systems of the body in real sizes, in 3D format (anatomical, histological, pathological and radiological directions). The table can create not only static, but also moving images, for example, it is equipped with an animated model of the heart, which simulates the natural heartbeat and allows the “beating” heart to be seen in different sections. Also, the table has the ability to simulate the autopsies and allows students to test their knowledge through various types of questions and quizzes loaded into the software and more.
Laboratories
The Laboratories of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histology and Cell Biology, which are part of the Clinical and Practical Skills Development Center, are equipped with high quality appropriate laboratory furniture, utensils, materials, cultures, reagents, various types of equipment, analyzers, microscopes and ventilation systems. In these laboratories, all the conditions are created for students to conduct laboratory studies thoroughly and comprehensively and to carry out scientific research.
Objectively structured clinical exam (OSCE) stations
Objectively structured clinical exam (OSCE) stations are used to assess the learning outcomes of clinical and professional educational courses defined by the Medical Doctor’s (MD) educational program from the very first semester of training. Assessment of the students’ various clinical, communicative, cognitive, affective, etc. are performed at OSCE stations using mannequins, models and standardized patients.
