East European University, IFES and CELA signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The MOU was signed by Acting Rector of East European University, Kakhaber Lazarashvili, Head of IFES Representation in Georgia, Ketevan Maisuradze and CELA Executive Director, Tamar Karaia,
The memorandum envisages deepening and promoting academic and scientific cooperation. Based on the MoU signed East European University will offer IFES-developed university-level one-semester long civic education course -“Democracy and Citizenship” to the students.
During the signing of the MOU, the partners discussed future plans and ideas for the implementation of future projects which provides opportunities for sharing experiences. The meeting also stressed the importance of raising students’ civic education and responsibility, the measures that will facilitate this process.
The signed MOU creates for the EEU students and academic staff a fruitful academic and scientific cooperation framework.
