On March 29, 2024, the first meeting of the series of workshops was held on the initiative of the Physical, Mental and Social Well-being Scientific Research Center (PMSW) of East European University (EEU) and organized by Lifelong Learning Center (LLC).
The event was attended by students and staff of East European University. Invited speakers shared their opinions, practical experience and future plans with the audience.
The event was opened by the rector of the East European University, the head of the Physical, Mental and Social Well-being Scientific Research Center, professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili.
Dr. Kakhaber welcomed the guests and gave a presentation on the importance of physical, mental and social well-being.
Maya Jibuti, the founder of the non-governmental organization “Tanadgoma” continued to talk about the mentioned issue. He introduced the students to the results of researches on the well-being of young people and the trends observed in Georgia in this direction.
Ekaterine Sanikidze, Doctor of Medicine, Head of Tbilisi Balneological Resort, shared her experience with the students about the importance of physical health and prevention.
Along with physical health, special attention was paid to mental well-being at the meeting. The associate professor of EEU, doctor of psychology, Nana Gogichashvili spoke about the psychological condition and problems of students.
The workshop ended with a concluding discussion, where the speakers answered in detail the questions raised by the audience.
