Welcome
Dear Colleagues and Guests,
It is with great honor and joy that I welcome you to the international conference “Education – A Catalyst for Well-being” on behalf of East European University!
Georgia has long been a land that deeply values education and knowledge. The wisdom of our ancestors, their pursuit of literacy, and their unwavering commitment to humanistic values continue to illuminate our path today. Building on these historical and cultural foundations, East European University aims to become not only a leading center of higher education but also a driving and strengthening force for societal well-being.
Today’s conference highlights the transformative role of education in the sustainable development of our country, our region, and the global community as a whole. In a world shaped by global changes, technological advancement, and increasing social challenges, education remains the single most powerful tool capable of equipping future generations with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive.
East European University brings together more than 2,000 students from over 10 countries. Our educational environment represents a harmonious synthesis of modern approaches and traditional values, where students not only receive professional training but also develop critical thinking, empathy, and global citizenship skills.
Our university’s motto – “Towards the Future with Knowledge” – reflects our strong belief that education is not only a path to personal growth and success, but also a cornerstone of social justice, ecological sustainability, and overall well-being.
We are delighted that this conference provides an opportunity for us to collectively explore and discover innovative ways in which education can better serve the needs of society. I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will be able to shape an education system that, alongside fostering economic development, also upholds human rights and the principles of social responsibility.
East European University is proud to host an event that unites leaders in education, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners around a shared vision – the transformative potential of education for universal well-being.
I invite you to join us in this interdisciplinary forum, to work together on the future of education – one that addresses the challenges of modern society and creates a better world for all.
