The East European University and the Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The MOU signed the Acting Rector of the East European University Prof. Kakhaber Lazarashvili and the Dean of the faculty of International and Political studies of Jagiellonian University, Prof. Pawel Laidler.
The memorandum envisages deepening and promoting academic and scientific cooperation between the universities. In particular, exchange of students and staff, implementation of joint research projects, exchange of educational and scientific materials, as well as sharing of experience.
Jagiellonian University is the oldest higher education institution in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. It was founded on May 12, 1364 by King Casimir the Great of Poland. Today Jagiellonian University has 16 faculties, with approximately 4,000 academic staff and 40,000 students.
