On April 4, 2023, The East European University and UNICEF signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The MOU was signed by the Acting Rector of the East European University Mr. Kakhaber Lazarashvili and the UNICEF representative in Georgia Mr. Ghassan Khalil.
The memorandum envisages the establishment of the Child Rights Center at the university, the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the direction of children’s rights and inclusive education. as well as strengthening the potential of university academic staff and students to effectively implement children’s rights principles in Georgia.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the challenges in the direction of children’s rights, emphasized the importance of the issue, and outlined plans for future cooperation.
