Ms.Teona Surmava is a graduate of the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) with a Master’s degree in Nationalism. Since 2020, she has been the Senior Advisor of the Division of Internal Security Affairs of the Department of Internal and External Security Affairs of the National Security Council of Georgia. Over the years, she has worked in the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, worked on European integration issues, was an analyst and project implementer for the English-language magazine “Georgia Today” and the NGO Project for Democratic Union (Budapest).
Ms. Teona Surmava is engaged in pedagogical and scientific-research activities. She is the author / co-author of several scientific papers. Actively involved in advanced training programs and seminars. She has participated in numerous international internship programs.
