The agreement signed between the Middlesex University and the EEU includes special support terms, namely the direct involvement of the Middlesex University in the newly established Doctoral and Research Development Center of the EEU, support and the implementation of the EEU doctoral program in education (EdD Program). The Doctoral and Research Development Center will be staffed by British and Georgian specialists and will be managed by Professor Paul Gibbs.
The East European University Doctoral Program in Education is introduced in analogy to the University of Middlesex Doctoral Program in Education. The professors of the Middlesex University will be involved in the program and they will lead the courses as well as supervise doctoral students. Hereby, the program will be led by a British professor. As a part of the Supporting Agreement, the EEU students were given full access to teaching and research materials of the Middlesex University. Additionally, students will be able to pass any module (educational / scientific) offered at the University of Middlesex within the doctoral program and receive the relevant certificate.
The first stage of the joint work in frames of the Doctoral Program in Education is almost finalized, the process of accreditation of the program will begin in the nearest future. The cooperation of the parties, in line with the EdD Program, includes implementation of various common scientific projects.
