The cycle of training: “Teaching and Assessment in Medical Education”, was organized by the EEU Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) on the initiative of the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences of East European University (EEU).
The training aimed to enhance the qualifications of academic and invited staff of the Medical Doctor’s (English) one-cycle educational programme of the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences in the field of teaching and assessment in medical education.
The training was led by Daniel Salcedo, MD, MHPE, Director of Simulation and e-Tech at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, USA. He has ample experience and studies in simulation-based teaching, educational technology development, and artificial intelligence in medical education.
During the course, the participants were acquainted with:
- Evaluation components, Formulation of MCQ, SBA, and other types of Questions, OSCE/OSPE case creation, preparation of checklists, Working on OSCE policy system;
- Clinical teaching, evaluation clinical study, PBL/CBL sessions, formulating cases, evaluation, etc.
- Planning and implementation of the Flipped Classroom
A series of training courses were held on the new campus of East European University with active interaction of the participants.
Certificates were provided by the end of the course.
