The One-Cycle Medical Doctor Program at East European University has been recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC), which enables graduates of the program to take the PLAB examinations and obtain the right to continue their professional practice in the UK.
The GMC regulates doctors, anaesthesia associates (AAs) and physician associates (PAs) in the United Kingdom. They set standards and quality assure education. As for the PLAB exam, it is a two-stage assessment for international medical graduates.
This recognition represents an important step forward in the internationalisation of the One-Cycle Educational Program of a Medical Doctor.
