With the financial support of East European University, a Doctoral Summer School was held from 31 August to 3 September.
The Doctoral Summer School was implemented within the framework of the English-language Doctoral Program in Education Sciences at EEU and aimed to prepare candidates interested in doctoral studies for the requirements and expectations of doctoral education.
The Summer School was led by Dr Louise Dalingwater, Professor at Sorbonne University, Affiliated Professor at East European University, and Head of the Doctoral Program in Education Sciences at EEU.
At the opening session of the Summer School, participants were welcomed by Dr Ketevan Aptarashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences at East European University.
Professor Louise Dalingwater, lectures focused on the development of participants’ academic and research skills. Lectures were also delivered by faculty members involved in the implementation of the Summer School, including

Ketevan Aptarashvili – Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences at East European University
In addition, Natia Gegelashvili, a doctoral student in Education Sciences and a member of the Representative Council, shared her personal experience and delivered a presentation entitled “EEU PhD Student Research Journey.”
At the conclusion of the Doctoral Summer School, participants were awarded certificates of participation.
