East European University’s Vice-Rector for International and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Tea Imadedze, and Vice-Rector for Education Process Administration, Associate Professor Rusudan Chikovani, embarked on a productive visit to the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece. The visit, took place from June 19-25 within the Erasmus+ program staff mobility and aimed to foster collaboration and enhance academic ties between the two institutions.
During their stay, the EEU delegates engaged in a series of fruitful meetings with the Rector of Panteion University, faculty representatives, academic staff, and the Department of International Relations. These gatherings served as a platform to exchange valuable insights about their universities, educational programs, and scientific projects. By sharing experiences and expertise, both parties laid the groundwork for future cooperation in the realms of education and scientific research. Notably, Vice-Rector Tea Imadedze delivered a lecture on the topic of “Association Agreement, the European Union and Georgia”.
Furthermore, an essential outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities. The memorandum encompasses various collaborative initiatives, including student and staff exchanges, joint educational and research projects, the sharing of scientific and educational resources, as well as the exchange of experiences. The memorandum was signed by Professor Mariana Psilla, Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Partnerships of Panteion University, and Vice-Rector Tea Imadedze of East European University.
The visit of the EEU Vice-Rectors to the Panteion University marked a significant milestone in strengthening the ties between the universities. This collaborative effort opens up new horizons for EEU students and academic staff, offering them exciting prospects and invaluable opportunities for growth and development.
