The event was opended by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Associate Professor Ketevan Aptarashvili. The workshop was led by Professor Jan Böehm – Doctor of Comparative Education and International Education Systems, Professor Of East European University (Georgia) & University of Upper Austria (Linz).
During the workshop, Prof. Jan Böehm discussed the development of education systems and their cultural and historical contexts. He examined two distinct models that illustrate the contextual nature of educational systems:
- Denmark’s “Free School Model”
- England’s “Testing School Model”
The event closed with Q&A session and session was highly interactive. A follow-up discussion on the analysis of Georgia’s education system was announced.
