Dr. Jan Boehm is Head of the Department of Education Sciences at the University of Upper Austria (Linz). He has many years of professional and pedagogical experience. He has been engaged in academic and research activities at the University of Upper Austria (Linz) for many years. In different years he was invited lecturer to the universities of Tartu, East European, Porto, Helsinki, Mondragon, Brno, Nijmegen; He was also an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education Sciences at the Alpen-Adria University in Klagenfurt, a researcher at the Technical University of Dresden, and holds a PhD in Comparative Education and International Education Systems from the same university.

Dr. Jan Boehm has many years of experience in scientific research. He is the holder of up to 10 international scientific grants and scholarships, author of 2 monographs and 35 international scientific publications, editor of 3 scientific journals, member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “Collection of Scientific Papers” at EEU, supervisor of numerous international research projects and Rapporteur. The main areas of his research are non-formal education, comparative and international education, education systems in Central and Eastern Europe / Japan.
