Dr. Vakhtang Charaia is Vice-President of the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association, Chief Analyst of the Energy Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Analyst of the Peace Education Research Center, Director of the TSU Center for Analysis and Forecasting, Member of the Young Scientists Council of the Georgian National Academy of Science. He is the Affiliate Lecturer at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, Expert-Economist at the British organization “International Alert” and Editor-in-Chief of the Swedish magazine “Central Asia and the Caucasus”. In recent years he has been a researcher at the State Institute of Public Accounts and Finance (India), the Beijing Institute of Technology, the Universities of Paus and Bremen (Germany), the Universities of Washington and Harvard (USA), the University of Tartu (Estonia), the European University of St. Petersburg (Russia).
Dr. Vakhtang Charaia is actively engaged in scientific research activities. He is the author of up to 10 international and local scientific publications, author and participant of more than 30 research projects, participant and speaker of more than 50 international and local conferences, seminars, workshops; He has received scientific grants, winner of the Young Scientists Competition of the International Monetary Fund of the Sh. Rustaveli Science Foundation, participant of numerous international summits, forums and professional development programs. He is the winner and fellow of different international projects.
