On 30-31 October 2019, East European University has been participated in Erasmus+ ICM contact seminar, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office Georgia. 44 Georgian HEIs and 46 universities from 11 program countries (Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Turkey) have participated in two-day seminar. Georgian and European colleagues discussed new opportunities for cooperation within Erasmus + programme at the International Contact Seminar. On the first day of the Erasmus + International Contact workshop, Deputy Minister for Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Irina Abuladze and Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Mr. Carl Hartzell welcomed university representatives.
Also, representatives of 10 European countries (Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden) presented reports emphasising the importance of current and future cooperation with Georgia within Erasmus +programme, at the same time presented educational programmes of their universities and countries, as well as opportunities of future collaboration.
On the second day of the Erasmus + International Contact Seminar, meetings were held between university representatives. Within the framework of international contact seminar, Eastern European University representatives held meetings with up to ten representatives of various European universities and discussed capability of implementation of Erasmus + exchange programmes and submission of joint grant projects.
East European University expands its international partnership network and continues working with new partners, which will provide each student, academic of administrative staff of the university with additional opportunities to participate in international projects.
