Dr. Lavrenti Maghlakelidze is a Judge of Tbilisi Court of Appeal. He has many years of pedagogical and professional experience. In the past years he was a Judge of Tbilisi City Court, Prosecutor of the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office, Chief Investigator of various subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At different years he had a study visit to the Court of Washington (Washington, USA), the Court of Germany (Hamburg, Germany) and Strasbourg (France).

Dr. Lavrenti Maghlakelidze has been actively engaged in scientific research activities for many years. He is the author of numerous scientific papers, monographs and textbooks, an active participant, speaker and organizer of international scientific conferences and seminars. Also, he is actively involved in professional development programs. He has passed a number of advanced training courses, internships in local and international organizations. He received a scholarship from the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena and is a member of the editorial board of the German-Georgian criminal journal.
