Students of East European University successfully participated in the annual student project “Universiade of Georgia in Winter Sports 2026”, held in the town of Bakuriani.
The event aimed to promote the development of university-level sports in Georgia and to popularize winter sports, as well as to encourage a healthy lifestyle among students.
The Universiade was organized by the Georgian University Sports Federation with the support of the Ministry of Sport of Georgia.
Within the framework of the Universiade, teams composed of East European University students took part in various sporting competitions.
EEU achieved particular success in the Giant Slalom category, Girls’ competition. The prize-winning positions were earned by Sopio Baidauri, a student of the Bachelor’s Program in Architecture and President of the Student Self-Government:
- Giant Slalom (Snowboard) – 1st place
- Giant Slalom (Alpine Skiing) – 2nd place
