From 15 to 17 April 2026, a delegation from East European University (EEU) participated in the Annual Conference and General Assembly of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), hosted in Bilbao by University of Deusto.
The university delegation was led by the Vice-Rector for Educational Program Development and Legal Affairs, Professor Zviad Rogava. The delegation also included Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Zukhra Matsaberidze, along with academic staff members.
The main topic of the conference, “Artificial Intelligence and Legal Education,” addressed the transformation of legal teaching and practice in the era of artificial intelligence.
A key component of the conference was the “Collaboration Hub,” which aimed to foster inter-university research partnerships, expand Erasmus+ initiatives, and promote joint academic projects.
During the visit, EEU representatives held working meetings with both existing partner institutions and prospective partners, laying the groundwork for the expansion of future cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening international academic partnerships, developing joint educational and research projects, and broadening mobility opportunities for students and academic staff.
Participation in this international event once again underscores EEU’s active engagement in the global academic community and its strategic commitment to advancing innovative, internationally oriented legal education in Georgia.
