The James S. Denton Transatlantic Fellowship

The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is now accepting applications for the 2023 James S. Denton Transatlantic Fellowship Program. The program brings a select group of rising professionals from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to Washington, DC for a three-week fellowship to engage and work with American experts on addressing major policy issues facing the transatlantic partnership.

The main goal of the fellowship program is to develop and support a network of next-generation transatlantic leaders and develop strategies and opportunities for cooperation that will meaningfully strengthen the US-CEE relationship.

Requirements:

Be a citizen from the following countries: Georgia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine;
Presently be a rising professional and/or be employed by the national government;
Demonstrated commitment to strengthening the transatlantic partnership and cooperation in a meaningful way in their career;
Exceptional research and critical thinking skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in the English language);
Clear leadership potential and the ability to work independently and in a group;
Proficiency with technology tools and applications, including MS Office, Zoom, Webex, etc., as well as a willingness to learn a new system.

List of References (Please provide contact information – email address and phone number – for two professional references). We recommend (but do not require) that one of these references be your current or recent supervisor.
