Professor David Cherkezishvili, Rector of East European University (EEU), has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Yerevan Haybusak University in recognition of his longstanding contributions to higher education, science, and management.
During his visit, Professor Cherkezishvili delivered a public lecture entitled “Education or Excuses” for the university’s students and academic community. He discussed the role of education in personal and professional development, the importance of applying knowledge critically, and the skills needed to succeed in today’s world.
The lecture also explored the role of education, hard work, and personal responsibility in achieving success, raising questions about the extent to which success depends on individual effort and how much can be attributed to luck and chance.
Following the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask questions and take part in a discussion with the speaker.
Yerevan Haybusak University (YHU) is Armenia’s first private multidisciplinary higher education institution. Founded in 1990, the University brings together several institutes and academies, as well as clinical and specialized training centers.
