Take this opportunity to become a representative of your Faculty on the University Representative Council!
A competition is announced for the election of 1 (one) academic staff member and 1 (one) student member representing the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences on the Representative Council of East European University.
The Representative Council of East European University is the highest representative body of the University and an independent collegial governing structural unit.
The Council aims to promote the effective management and development of the University, ensure collegial decision-making on the University’s strategic matters, and ensure openness and transparency in the University’s governance and activities, as well as the involvement of the university community.
The academic staff member and student member of the Representative Council are elected by the Council of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences.
An academic staff member wishing to become a member of the Representative Council shall submit a substantiated application in accordance with the established procedure and within the prescribed timeframe. The Faculty Council reviews the submitted applications and evaluates the candidates’ concept/vision regarding the development of East European University. The Faculty Council may also, at its discretion, interview candidates regarding their prospective role in the activities of the Representative Council.
A student wishing to become a member of the Representative Council shall submit an application in accordance with the established procedure and within the prescribed timeframe, substantiating why their role would be important and effective in the activities of the Representative Council. In addition, the candidate shall demonstrate active involvement in conferences and university student activities.
The Faculty Council reviews the submitted substantiated applications, evaluates the candidates’ motivation and involvement in university student life and may, at its discretion, interview the candidates.
The Faculty Council makes its decision by voting at its meeting in favor of the candidate whose participation in the activities of the Representative Council it considers productive.
