Bachelor of Nursing

Qualification to be awarded: Bachelor of Nursing (B.N)

Program Status: Dually accredited at national (NCEQE) and international levels (ACQUIN);

Tuition fee: 3500 USD

Prerequisites for admission:

The right to study in the Bachelor’s Educational Program of Nursing is granted to individuals who possess a complete general education certificate issued in Georgia or an equivalent document, based on the results of the Unified National Examinations, having passed English as a mandatory subject for enrollment in the academic program and having exceeded the minimum competency threshold established by the university (85%+1). Additionally, for continuing studies in the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Nursing, applicants must take a third mandatory elective subject examination in mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

Without the Unified National Examinations, the prerequisite for applicant admission to the Nursing Educational Program, according to the procedures and deadlines established by legislation, includes demonstrating minimum B1 level English

  • The program fully complies with both national and international academic and professional standards in nursing. It is grounded in contemporary approaches to healthcare education and best international practices, aiming to prepare highly qualified, competitive, practice-oriented specialists with strong ethical responsibility who are in demand in the global healthcare labor market;
  • The program has been developed based on the analysis of trends identified through labor market and education market research, the Sectoral Benchmark of Higher Education of Nursing, as well as the results of comparative analysis with similar programs offered by Case Western Reserve University (USA), Universidad Cardenal Herrera (Spain), UIC Barcelona (Spain), Universidad de Alicante (Spain), Norwich University (USA), MCPHS University (USA), etc.;
  • To achieve the intended learning outcomes, the program utilizes the Clinical and Practical Skills Development Center of East European University.The Center is a comprehensive teaching and research complex equipped in accordance with modern standards and includes laboratories, OSCE stations, and simulation classrooms, enabling the comprehensive preparation of students and the acquisition and reinforcement of clinical and practical skills in a safe and controlled environment;
  • A fundamental prerequisite for the successful implementation of the program, alongside the country’s leading partner clinical institutions, is the Open Heart–University Hospital.The hospital’s modern, high-technology infrastructure, multidisciplinary environment, diversity of clinical cases, and highly qualified staff provide an ideal foundation for translating theoretical knowledge into practice and for the development of professional skills and competencies;
  • The program is delivered by highly qualified academic and invited staff, including leading clinicians and researchers with extensive clinical and teaching experience, ensuring the effective integration of theoretical knowledge and practical experience;
  • Students are offered opportunities to participate in international academic mobility and exchange programs at partner universities across Europe;
  • The program features an affordable tuition fee, along with various scholarship opportunities and financial support mechanisms.
Program Aim

The aim of the Bachelor’s Educational Program of Nursing is to enable students to:

 

  • Provide broad theoretical knowledge about nursing principles, concepts, and theories, as well as basic biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences related to nursing;
  • Develop skills in nursing process management, including provision of first aid during emergency medical situations;
  • Develop skills in searching, collecting, processing, and analyzing relevant scientific literature, information, and data for the nursing field from various academic sources using information technologies, as well as developing research projects (papers) under predetermined guidelines while adhering to principles of academic integrity and research ethics;
  • Develop skills in oral and written communication with specialists and non-specialists regarding their research results, conclusions, arguments, complex and unforeseen problems related to the nursing field, and ways to solve them, using information and communication technologies;
  • Develop skills in acting according to teamwork principles during professional activities, conducting activities oriented towards continuous professional development of themselves and team members, as well as objectively evaluating the results of their own and team members’ activities;
  • Develop skills in continuously updating knowledge while adhering to the principle of “lifelong learning”;
  • Develop skills in acting based on confidentiality principles during professional activities and adhering to legal, ethical, and professional behavioral norms.
