Elene Zurabishvili is the Dean of the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences at East European University, Head of the Clinical and Practical Skills Development Center, and Head of the English-language Bachelor’s Educational Program of Nursing. She is a field expert in Medicine for the Authorization and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE), and a member of the Sectoral Council for Higher Medical and Nursing Education. Since 2019, she has been engaged in clinical practice as a physician specialized in endocrinology.
Elene Zurabishvili holds an academic degree of Medical Doctor (Tbilisi State Medical University) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Endocrinology (Queen Mary University of London). She has completed numerous international and local professional development trainings in clinical endocrinology and medical education, including courses offered by the An International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE) on essential skills in medical education and essential skills in medical education assessment. She is a recipient of a doctoral educational program grant awarded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. She has participated as a speaker and attendee in multiple international and local conferences, workshops, and seminars.
