On July 17, 2025, as part of the ERASMUS+ staff mobility, the Head of the Department of Political Science and History at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Professor Dimitris Christopoulos, visited East European University (EEU).
During his visit, Professor Christopoulos met with the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ketevan Aptarashvili and the Head of the International Relations Department, Teona Khachidze.
Within the framework of a joint initiative between EEU and Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, a public lecture was held on the topic: Humanities Education and Brain Drain.
In his presentation, Professor Christopoulos addressed the contemporary challenges facing humanities education and examined issues that are related to the problem of brain drain. He emphasized that
modern societies need humanities education no less than technical knowledge, as solving global challenges requires deep analytical and ethical skills.
The second part of the event took the form of a discussion — the speaker, together with the EEU students, summarized and analyzed the key topics covered during the lecture.
