
Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ academic staff mobility, Dimitris Christopoulos, Head of the Department of Political Science and History and Professor of Politology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Greece), will visit East European University (EEU).
At the joint initiative of EEU and Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, a public lecture on “Humanities Education and Brain Drain” will be held on July 17 at 19:00 in the conference hall (Room 401).
Discussion Topics:
- Is humanities education in crisis?
- Does the new global governance paradigm need humanities in the way it did a century ago?
- Can humanities resist the pressure of the ongoing standardisation and to what extend humanities higher education is able to contribute to minimise brain drain?
Speaker:
- Dimitris Christopoulos – Head of the Department of Political Science and History, Professor of Political Science at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. From 2003 to 2011 he was elected President of the Greek League for Human Rights and from 2016 to 2019 President of the International Federation for Human Rights in Paris.
