A training series titled “Techniques for Using the Multifunctional Interactive Anatomical Table” was held in the Anatomy Laboratory (Room 109) of East European University for the academic and invited staff teaching courses in Anatomy, Histology, Pathology, and Radiology.
The main objective of the training was to introduce and integrate the interactive anatomical table into the teaching process within the relevant academic courses.
The interactive anatomical table enables the study of the human body in real size and in a 3D format, allowing the exploration of 11 systems of the human organism. At the same time, through continuous internal internet connectivity, the system can be linked to interactive smart boards located in lecture halls, enabling lectures and demonstrations to be conducted simultaneously in multiple classrooms across different disciplines.
During the training sessions, the following topics were discussed:
-
The functionality of the anatomical table, its operation, and its practical use;
-
Opportunities, challenges, and specific features of integrating the technology into the teaching process.
Trainer:
Elene Zurabishvili – Assistant Professor and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences (EEU).
Within the framework of the training cycle, additional training sessions were conducted by the manufacturer of the anatomical interactive table – Taiwan Main Orthopaedic Biotechnology Co., Ltd (Taiwan) – aimed at preparing university trainers for further dissemination of the technology.
The training was conducted in three stages:
-
Introduction to the functionality of the anatomical table – software and hardware components, maintenance specifics, and integration into the teaching process;
-
Practical training on the Anatomy section of the interactive anatomical table;
-
Practical training on the Histology, Pathology, and Radiology sections of the interactive anatomical table.
Training on the use of the multifunctional interactive anatomical table will continue in the future and will be organized periodically each academic year.
