Ana Mikeladze is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at East European University and a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) professional with more than 17 years of experience in research, governance, election administration, and social development programs. She teaches Introduction to Sociology, Research Methods, and Medical Sociology, integrating applied research and evaluation practices into her courses.
She is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education Sciences at East European University in cooperation with Middlesex University. She holds master’s degrees in Law and in Sociology & International Relations from Tbilisi State University. Her academic interests include research methodology, program evaluation, electoral governance, and evidence-based policy analysis.
Alongside her academic work, Ms. Mikeladze serves as MEAL Manager for the South Caucasus Mission at Action Against Hunger, where she leads monitoring and evaluation systems for multi-country programs. She also has extensive professional experience in election administration and observation, including senior roles at the Central Election Commission of Georgia and participation in international election observation missions with organizations such as ENEMO and OSCE/ODIHR. Her broader professional background includes monitoring, evaluation, and governance roles with international organizations, public institutions, and civil society, with strong expertise in program evaluation, data analysis, and large-scale research. Her work focuses on strengthening evidence-based decision-making and improving democratic governance and social development programs across the South Caucasus.
