EEU Associate Professor, Associate member/researcher of International Association of Samuel Beckett Ms. Inga Zhghenti on June 19, 2018 will deliver public lecture under the theme: ’’Historical-Philosophical Context of Human Alienation in Existentialism and Theatre of the Absurd’’ for EEU students of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty.
Objectives:
Students will get acquainted with what is common among Tariel from “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”, The Myth of Sisyphus of Albert Camus and Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot” characters, Vladimir (Didi) and Estragon (Gogo). Also, Ms. Zhgenti will talk about the actuality of the problem of alienation, its causes and expressions in existentialist philosophy Theatre of the Absurd.
