On the initiative of Varlam Cherkezishvili Interdisciplinary Studies Center (EEU), as part of the series of intercultural meetings, the third activity for international students – presentation of the English translation of Shota Rustaveli’s poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” was organized by the Lifelong Learning Center on December 1 in the EEU conference hall.
The goal of the presentation was to promote Georgian culture among EEU international students and introduce them to the poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”.
As part of the presentation, a public reading of the English translation of the poem preserved in the EEU library was organized.
Giorgi Tavadze, Doctor of Philosophy, EEU Professor, and the Head of Varlam Cherkezishvili Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (EEU) was the speaker at the meeting.
The meeting was held in an interactive mode with the active involvement of students and EEU administration. The participants asked questions and received answers to the issues of interest to them.
A similar type of meeting is permanent at East European University in order to promote the rapprochement of foreign and Georgian students and promote intercultural dialogue.
