On November 7, a voluntary blood donation event was held at the East European University (EEU), organized jointly with its partner clinic — the K. Eristavi National Center of Experimental and Clinical Surgery.
The goal of the donation was to help replenish blood reserves in medical institutions, which is especially important for surgical operations, trauma cases, and the treatment of oncological and chronic diseases. A single blood donation can save up to three lives.
The process took place with active participation. Both Georgian and international students, as well as EEU’s academic and administrative staff took part in the initiative.
During the event, representatives of the medical center spoke with the participants and assessed their eligibility for donation based on questions related to their health condition.
East European University will continue to engage in similar initiatives in the future, contributing to the well-being of society and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
