Student Scientific Workshop

The Faculty of Healthcare Sciences of East European University will host a Student Scientific Workshop on 26 February 2026 entitled – Digital Transformation in Medicine: How Innovations and Artificial Intelligence Are Shaping the Future of Healthcare.

The aim of the workshop is to provide students with a platform to discuss, explore, and critically analyze current developments, to enhance their research skills, and to present their own findings on how digital technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming medical education, clinical practice, diagnostics, patient care, and healthcare systems on a global scale.

The Faculty of Healthcare Sciences invites students of the Medical Doctor (MD) educational program to participate and engage in discussions on the following topics (the list is not limited to):

  • Artificial intelligence in medical diagnostics and decision-making
  • AI-assisted imaging, pathology, and laboratory medicine
  • Telemedicine and remote patient monitoring
  • Electronic Health Records (EHRs): benefits, challenges, and future perspectives
  • Digital tools in preventive medicine and public health
  • Wearable technologies and mobile health applications
  • Ethical, legal, and data security issues in digital medicine and AI
  • Artificial intelligence in medical education and training
  • Digital innovations in patient-centered care
  • Future perspectives of AI and digital health in clinical practice

Target Audience: Students of the Medical Doctor (MD) educational program of the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences

Format: Hybrid (online and in-person)

Working Language: English
Time limit: Presentation – 15 min; Q&A – 10 min.

To participate in the workshop, the following is required::
  • Completion of the registration form and upload of the abstract via the following electronic address: https://forms.gle/ZGhQBHXC8CXmNUYh7
  • General requirements for abstract submission: A4 format, Word, 150–300 words – Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 12; Line spacing: 1.5.
  • The workshop accepts research-based abstracts, literature review abstracts, as well as case-based presentations.
