East European University Delegation Participates in the 7th International Staff Week at the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy)

Representatives of East European University (EEU) participated in the 7th International Staff Week organized by the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy) from 8-12 June within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme.

The international week, dedicated to innovation and academic cooperation, brought together more than 200 representatives from universities across different countries.

The EEU delegation was composed of Bakar Matsaberidze, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences; Natia Daghelishvili, Professor at the Faculty of Business and Engineering; Lali Chagelishvili-Agladze, Professor and Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Office; Nino Begiashvili, Head of the Department of Academic Process Administration; Rusudan Cherkezishvili, Acting Head of the Human Resource Management Department; and Mariam Liklikadze, Head of the Lifelong Learning and Student Services Center.

The major topics of the International Staff Week included artificial intelligence, inclusion, and sustainability in higher education. Through thematic presentations and panel discussions, participants explored contemporary challenges, opportunities, and best practices associated with these areas. Particular attention was given to the development of Double Degree programmes and opportunities for international cooperation, which were discussed through networking activities and roundtable sessions involving partner universities.

During the visit, EEU representatives also held meetings with members of the University of Tuscia administration and academic staff. These meetings resulted in the identification of prospective areas for future collaboration in both educational and research activities. Furthermore, the event provided valuable opportunities to establish new international partnerships through professional networking and exchanges with representatives of participating institutions.

As part of the programme, the EEU delegation met with students enrolled in the binational master’s programme. During the meeting, EEU students participating in the exchange programme shared their experiences at the University of Tuscia and discussed their academic progress and learning experience.

Within the framework of the binational master’s programme, students enrolled in EEU’s Master’s Programme in Law have the opportunity to spend their second year of study at the University of Tuscia with Erasmus+ funding. Upon successful completion of the programme and recognition of earned credits, students are awarded both the Master of Law degree from East European University and the Master’s degree in Security and Human Rights from the University of Tuscia.
