The National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia, in cooperation with the Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) initiative, invites you to participate in the event “Plagiarism in the Age of AI”, which will take place on 21 September 2026.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of everyday life, education, and research. As its use continues to expand, new and increasingly sophisticated forms of plagiarism have emerged, raising important questions about academic integrity and responsible research practices.
The event will examine how AI can be used responsibly in research while maintaining the highest standards of research ethics and academic integrity. Invited speakers representing Erasmus+ funded projects will share their experience and insights into the ethical and responsible application of AI in research, addressing both the opportunities offered by AI technologies and the challenges they pose to research integrity, academic ethics, and good academic practice.
The second part of the programme will consist of a practical workshop dedicated to the responsible use of AI in research and higher education. Participants will explore practical approaches to integrating AI tools while upholding the principles of research ethics, academic integrity, and responsible authorship.
