On May 24 Eastern European University held Georgia’s Independence Day celebrations. The event included a conference titled “The First Republic of Georegia” and a photo exhibition depicting the history of the independent republic of Georgia.
Conference speeches were delivered by David Cherkezishvili – Rector of the Eastern European University, Gigila Abulashvili – Chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Giorgi Sharvashidze – Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia – Mikheil Darchiashvili. The speakers emphasized on the importance of the celebration of the independence day of Georgia and spoke about the future challenges of Georgia. Finally, the Assistant professor of the EEU – DImitry Gegenava delivered a speech on the Topic “Georgia’s Independence day – May 26”.
After the conference there was held the photo exhibition, where visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the First Republic of Georgia.
