On September 12-15 of the current year, East European University Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs Prof. Shalva Machavariani and Vice-rector for Administrative Affairs, Tea Imedadze attended the Board of Directors of European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and Annual Reunion of European Group of Public Law in Athens, Greece.
International Conference held within the Reunion, was dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL). The Reunion of the European Group of Public Law, which serves as the European Scientific Council of the EPLO, has gathered public law academics, high court judges and public law practitioners from all over the world.
Within the conference EEU meetings with representatives of several universities of Europe was held under which future cooperation perspectives was discussed.
The official reception was held at the Roman Agora, where the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, who was the keynote speaker at the event, praised the contribution of the European Public Law Organization in the context of European Unification and its contribution to achieving the goal of European integration.
Conference attendees were also addressed by: the Minister of Justice, Mr. K. Tsiaras, The Mayor of Athens Mr. Kostas Bakoyannis and Prof. Sabino Cassese, President of the Scientific Council (EGPL) of the EPLO.
