Take this opportunity to represent your Faculty on the University Representative Council!
The Representative Council of East European University is the University’s highest representative body. Its purpose is to contribute to the effective governance and development of the University by facilitating collegial decision-making on strategic matters and ensuring openness, transparency, and the active engagement of the university community in the University’s governance and activities.
The elected membership of the Representative Council comprises affiliated Leading Professors, Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Assistants, and students. The Council includes four elected representatives of the academic staff and four elected student representatives, with one academic staff member and one student representing each Faculty of the University.
Academic staff representatives to the Representative Council are elected by the respective Faculty Councils. The Faculty Council reviews the reasoned applications submitted by candidates seeking membership of the Representative Council and assesses their motivation and engagement in university and student life. The Faculty Council may also invite candidates for an interview where deemed appropriate.
The Faculty Council makes its decision by vote at a Council meeting, selecting the candidate whose participation in the activities of the Representative Council is considered most likely to make a meaningful and productive contribution.
