East European University (EEU) is the first and the only university in Georgia to receive a 5-Star rating under QS Stars University Ratings, one of the world’s most widely recognized higher education rating systems. EEU was awarded the status of “Rated Excellent” and joined the group of 158 universities worldwide to have achieved this distinction.
The comprehensive institutional assessment conducted by QS Stars evaluates universities across a broad range of areas, including institutional performance, governance, teaching, academic research, sustainable development, facilities, international engagement, graduate employability, social impact, diversity and inclusion, and other key dimensions. Rather than ranking universities by position, QS Stars assesses institutional performance against predefined international standards and performance indicators.
As a result of the independent QS Stars assessment, East European University received an overall score of 764 out of 1,000, earning a 5-Star rating. Notably, only 158 universities worldwide have achieved a 5-Star rating under the QS Stars University Ratings system.
Of particular significance, EEU achieved the highest possible rating of 5 Stars in seven key categories:
- Teaching
- Facilities
- Good Governance
- Programme Strength
- Academic Development
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Employability
