On November 29, 2025, East European University (EEU) hosted an on-campus information session titled “ELSA – Student Traineeship Exchange Programme (STEP)”, organized jointly by East European University and the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA).
During the event, representatives of ELSA introduced the organization, its international network, and its role in supporting professional development opportunities for law students across Europe.
Participants were presented with detailed information about the ELSA STEP Programme, which provides students with opportunities to undertake traineeships in international law firms, legal organizations, institutions, and companies.
The speakers explained:

the structure and purpose of the programme;

application procedures and selection criteria;

the traineeship opportunities available through the ELSA international network;

navigation of the ELSA Traineeships portal, where students can explore and apply for legal traineeships.
The session enabled EEU students to learn about international traineeship opportunities in the legal sector, as well as the competencies and requirements needed to participate in international professional mobility programmes.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion where ELSA representatives answered questions from students regarding the application process and international career opportunities in the legal field.
