On April 20-21, the European University Association (EUA) General Assembly and Annual Conference were held in Gdańsk, Poland, hosted by Gdańsk University of Technology. The Vice-Rector for International and Administrative Affairs of East European University, Prof. Tea Imedadze, participated in the event.
At the Association’s General Assembly, the next EUA President, Josep M. Garrell Guiu (Spain) and five EUA board members were elected by the Association members. Also, the 2022 annual report and 2023 budget were approved. In addition, the main EUA achievements and future priorities were discussed.
During the visit, Vice-Rector Imedadze held meetings with the EUA member university representatives and the International Relations Office of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Parties outlined plans and ways for future cooperation between the universities in educational and scientific areas.
The European University Association (EUA) is the largest and most comprehensive organization representing universities in Europe. EUA represents more than 800 universities and national rectors’ conferences in 48 European countries. The East European University has been an Individual Full Member of the EUA since 2021 and was the first private university from Georgia. which has become an Individual Full Member of the EUA
