East European University has published a collection entitled “Religion and Science: Dialogue, Conflict or Isolation?” Compiled by Giorgi Tavadze, Professor of Philosophy, Head of the Varlam Cherkezishvili Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the EEU.
The articles in the collection discuss the relationship between religion and science from different perspectives (physics and religion, biology and religion, cultural anthropology and religion, etc.). The collection will be interesting for those interested in the issue, as well as for a wide range of readers.
Giorgi Tavadze’s research areas are: Philosophy of Politics and Law, Postcolonial and Post-Totalitarian Studies, Philosophy of Education, Political Sociology, History of Ideas, Philosophical Geography, Sociology of Places and Spaces. He has translated into Georgian the works of Friedrich Nietzsche, John Dewey, Thomas Payne, Carl Schmidt, Immanuel Kant and others.
