From May 8th to 12th, Professor Giorgi Tavadze, the head of the Varlam Cherkezishvili Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies at East European University, embarked on a visit to the Danish School of Education (Aarhus University). This endeavor was made possible through the financial support of East European University.
The primary objective of this visit was to collaborate with the Center for Higher Education Futures, in order to design and coordinate joint research projects. Furthermore, the visit aimed to advance the progress of the ongoing joint initiative on “placeful university” (planned edited volume).
During this visit, Professor Tavadze had the opportunity to engage with his Danish counterparts and actively participate in a symposium centered around academic supervision on May 12th. Within the symposium, he delivered a presentation on the East European University project titled “Places and Spaces Inside and Outside the University.” This project strives to merge formal and informal learning environments, with Professor Tavadze acting as a mentor throughout its implementation.
Looking ahead, the Varlam Cherkezishvili Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies has plans to further enhance collaboration with the Center for Higher Education Futures. The intended collaboration entails organizing joint seminars, workshops, and conferences, fostering a spirit of knowledge exchange and mutual growth.
