As part of the ERASMUS+ academic staff exchange, the full professor of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics of the Bucharest University of Economics, Monica Roman, will visit the East European University (EEU).
On the joint initiative of EEU Faculty of Business and Engineering and Migration and Diaspora Research Center (EEU) on April 3, at 17:00, a workshop will be held: “Economic aspects of migration and migration research”.
Workshop topics and discussion issues:
- Recent trends in Romanian migration. results of a large European project;
- Integrated approaches in migration research: mixed methods as the key to multidimensional studies.
Speakers:
- Monica Ramon – full professor of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics of the Bucharest University of Economics; researcher at the Bonn Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and the Central European Institute for Labor Studies (Bratislava) (CELSI); Member of two COST networks, co-author of two books on Romanian migration; Author of more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals (Journal of Comparative Economics, Applied Economics Letters, Transnational Social Review, Migration Letters, Evaluation and Program Planning); Leader of two large European projects funded by the EU HORIZON 2020;
- Lela Goginava – Head of the EEU Migration and Diaspora Research Center; assistant professor; Doctoral student of the Educational Sciences Program.
