Louise Marie Dalingwater is an Associate Professor at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Her doctoral research focused on the service economy of the United Kingdom, and her current research primarily explores trade in services, health, and wellbeing in the UK.
She is Head of the research centre HDEA at Sorbonne University and serves on the Executive Council for doctoral students. She has also undertaken various administrative responsibilities related to teaching, including Deputy Head of Department and Head of the BA Hons. Programme in International Trade.
Louise is the author of numerous articles, publications, and monographs. Her recent publications include two books on the UK service economy (Les Services britanniques au 21e siècle: une étude interdisciplinaire, Presses universitaires de Nancy, 2015) and several book chapters, including Transatlantic Services Trade and Investment: Dynamics of and Challenges to the Special Relationship (Palgrave Macmillan). Her articles have appeared in academic journals such as Outre Terre and The International Journal of Health, Wellness and Society.
She has extensive international experience in health, wellbeing, and public policy. She is Chair of the Health, Wellness and Society (HWS) network based in Illinois, USA, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Health, Wellness and Society, and a member of the international research project Precision Health and Everyday Democracy (PHED), funded by the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT – Stiftelsen för internationalisering av högre utbildning och forskning). She also participated in the USAID Health Systems Strengthening grant in India.
