Admission Requirements:

The right to enroll in the Master’s educational program in Law is granted to individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent academic degree, and who successfully pass the Common Master’s Examination and the university’s internal examinations.

Candidates for the Master’s program are eligible to participate in the university’s internal examinations only if they meet the minimum competency threshold of the Common Master’s Examination.

Master’s candidates must pass the following internal university examinations:

  • A written examination (test) in English to confirm proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.
  • A written examination (test) in the chosen specialization, based on the student’s preference, in one of the following fields: Public Law, Private Law, or Criminal Law

The content, procedures, test samples, and evaluation criteria for the internal university examinations will be published on the university’s website at least one month before the examinations begin.
Admission to the Master’s educational program in Law is also possible through mobility, in accordance with applicable legislation. Candidates seeking admission through mobility must meet the program’s admission requirements.

Continuation of studies in the Master’s educational program without taking the Common Master’s Examination is permitted in cases specified under Article 52, Paragraphs 7 and 7.1 of the Georgian Law on Higher Education, in accordance with the procedures and deadlines established by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia.

Program Curriculum Overview

The Master’s Program in Law provides advanced knowledge of legal systems, research methods, and ethics while developing practical skills in legal analysis, communication, problem-solving, academic writing, and professional conduct. The total volume of the program is 120 ECTS credits, 60 ECTS per year, 30 ECTS per semester. The program includes the following courses:

  • Compulsory courses in public, private, and criminal law directions

  • Master’s thesis
