On November 19, East European University (EEU), through the joint organization of the Education Department and the EEU Library, conducted a training session on the use of library services.
The aim of the training was to provide EEU students with comprehensive information on how to effectively use library resources and services.
The session was led by Gvantsa Kobakhidze, Head of the EEU Library, and Marika Jorjoliani, Licensing Coordinator and Head of the Scientific and Reference Services Department at the Consortium for Integrated Information Network of Georgian Libraries. The training was also attended by Ketevan Aptarashvili, Associate Professor and Head of the Master’s Program in Educational Research and Administration.
During the training, students of the Master’s Program in Educational Research and Administration were introduced to:
- Techniques for using international academic databases
- Procedures for searching and reserving resources in the electronic library catalog
- Library usage guidelines and various support services available at EEU
The second part of the training included a practical component, where participants applied the knowledge gained. Students explored EEU’s library resources and collections (both digital and print) and conducted searches within academic databases.
The training was delivered in a hybrid format. For students who were unable to attend, training materials (video recordings and presentations) are available.
