Lasha Gulbani is a physician-surgeon with extensive clinical and academic experience. His main professional field is general surgery.

Throughout his professional career, he has worked at leading medical institutions, gaining substantial experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of surgical patients. Since 2015, he has been working as a surgeon in the Department of General Surgery at Academician Otar Ghudushauri National Medical Center. Since 2017, he has served as the Head of the Operating Theatre at the same medical center, and since 2019, he has also been the Head of the Sterilization Service.

At different stages of his professional career, Lasha Gulbani worked as a surgeon in the Department of General Surgery at Tbilisi Sea Hospital, as an on-call surgeon at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, and as a surgeon in the Department of Surgery at K. Mardaleishvili Medical Center. At the beginning of his career, he gained practical experience through clinical training at Academician Otar Ghudushauri National Medical Center and K. Eristavi National Center of Surgery.

He has been engaged in academic activities since 2017 and currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Healthcare Sciences of East European University. His academic activities include participation in medical education, professional training of future physicians, and the dissemination of contemporary medical knowledge in the field of general surgery.

As part of his professional development, he has completed specialized training in general surgery. In 2015, he obtained the State Certification in General Surgery from the Professional Development Council of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. In 2014, he completed a clinical residency in general surgery at the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. He has also participated in international exchange programs in the fields of abdominal, general, and head and neck surgery in Ukraine and Bulgaria.

Lasha Gulbani’s professional activity combines extensive surgical practice, operating theatre management, academic engagement, and active involvement in medical education, making a significant contribution to the advancement of general surgery and the professional development of future physicians.
