Dr. Lavrenti Maghlakelidze is a Judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Tbilisi Court of Appeal. He has many years of pedagogical and professional experience. Throughout his career, he has served as a Judge of the Tbilisi City Court, a Prosecutor at the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office, and Chief Investigator in various subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. He has undertaken study visits to judicial institutions in Washington, D.C. (USA), Hamburg (Germany), and Strasbourg (France).

Dr. Maghlakelidze has long been actively engaged in scholarly and research activities. He is the author of numerous academic publications, including monographs and textbooks, and is an active participant, speaker, and organizer of international scientific conferences and seminars. He is also involved in professional development programs and has completed various advanced training courses and internships in both local and international institutions. He is a recipient of a scholarship from Friedrich Schiller University Jena and serves as a member of the editorial board of the German-Georgian Journal of Criminal Law.
